Tresa Olsen, BellaVita Board Candidate received17.65% of the vote. Not bad considering public verbal attacks with lies at "meet & greet" as well as Board FINALLY disclosing lawsuit just in time for elections along with the email explaining lawsuit person sent Tresa's candidate flyer because it seems they didn't think the residents knew how to read who it was from.
Bellavita CCRs do NOT allow the HOA Board and/or it's members to pay legal fees for malfeasesance or misfeasance! Do NOT let them use OUR money to pay for legal fees.
These could have easily been avoided if the offending Board member of Lawsuit #2 had simply admitted his illegal actions in the months leading up to the lawsuit.
Board member FINALLY submitted an affidavit admitting their illegal actions. The affidavit is public information and will be posted here at a later date. It is my understanding, though not verified that every member of the Board was aware of this illegal action. Yet did not follow their commitment as a Board member to NOT... "Advocate or support any action or activity that violates a law or regulatory requirement."
AND, Lawsuit #1 could have been avoided if the Board had followed their Model Ethics to...

Strive at all times to serve the best interests of the association as a whole regardless of their personal interests. (Then president wasn't here during all the fence changes. I shared details. Property codes, etc., during private meeting in an amicable manner before all this became public. He didn't seem to care. He made it clear he didn't like the color of someone's fence and he was getting rid of color.)
(NOTE: I have to go to work now. More to follow including copies of the affidavit, his spouse's email to me trying to convince me no one on the Board has anything to do with the inspections, AND, responses to people who have INCORRECTLY accused me and others of "breaking the rules". We have docs proving why we truly believed the "color staining" was most definitely allowed, especially when turned over to the owners for care and no longer in the care of the HOA.
Have a lovely day and come back to visit in a couple of weeks for more info.

We have two subjects discussed here this month. Both will remain here at least until after the elections are over.
First, there are currently two Petitions that the Board chose to allow to happen rather than work with the community for amicable solutions. I have posted the letter sent via email to the community which covers an overview of both petitions. It was suggested I highlight the critical information on the Petitions. I encourage you to read both Petitions in their entirety as it is ALL important. But from a highlighted perspective, Yellow is general info, blue is especially important, and GREEN is the "relief" (payment) requested. There is a note on the front page to explain why something was added in handwriting. AND, there are notes in red on the "relief" monetary page to make sure you see that I did NOT sue for money in my pockets!

YAY!!! They finally cleaned the roof! Still not to the level of clean as in the past. But at least we can see some color and not all black.
Second item of concern this month, "Why was money spent on brush removal that the City of Pearland was planning on picking up with no additional charge?
When was last time you saw our lovely Terracotta roof, instead of black? Two different issues. HOWEVER...
If you were given the option, would you rather spend $25,000 to $27,000 of HOA Money toward our roof? OR, would you spend that amount on removing brush that the City would have picked up WITHOUT additional charges? Though I haven't seen the document, so it is only 'hearsay', I heard from a couple of very reliable sources that almost $27,000 was spent on brush removal after Hurricane Beryl. That was brush removal that the city would have removed without additional charges. TRANSPARENCY!!!! Did the Board vote on that in a Special Meeting? Did the President make that decision even though it wasn't an emergency issue? Why weren't the residents asked their opinion? Email was working. We know because Inframark rep sent out email, not asking if everyone was okay, rather reminding everyone of restrictions...when we didn't even have power back yet.
My PLEDGE to BellaVita Residents
I will respect & follow the "Model Ethics" for the Board.
During the candidate Preparation Meeting, we were encouraged not to make promises. But I sincerely enjoy the activities and the friends we already had here and the new friends we have made since 2018. I enjoy the overall community of BellaVita.
SO I KNOW I CAN PROMISE THIS FROM MY HEART AND FROM COMMON SENSE SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY...
If I am elected,
I will do my absolute best to keep the residents of BellaVita well informed IN ADVANCE of decisions that the Board is considering and/or is voting on along with any legally allowable details. I believe our community has gone far too long without being asked for our residents' input, especially when it involves the potential spending of our funds that we pay to the association.

I chose to establish this site to provide a platform for sharing valuable information among BellaVita residents. I believe in transparency, trust, and creating lasting community connections for better community communications, involvement and support for each other.

AND, even if I'm not elected, I will do my best to share community info as it becomes available to me. I WELCOME YOUR INPUT. This is NOT to be a page to complain. If you want something in our community addressed, send an email with details about the issue(s), along with potential SOLUTIONS. IF we work together to keep the many good things we have in BellaVita as well as bring about positive change for transparency, we can accomplish a great deal.
As schedules allow, I will post a new issue under the section below "Explore Community Transparency" and we'll request YOUR INPUT for YOUR community. EMAIL for sending info on issues you would like to see discussed here is a new email for TRANSPARENCY discussions only. If you want to send something but remain anonymous to the post, we will respect your privacy. New "unofficial" transparency email for BellaVita issues is
